Night shift, no questions
Pixky
Night watch, permanent
A square-built husky minding the last lit shop.
After Midnight
Pixky works the late shift where the streetlights stop trying. He sits outside the corner shop until every letter is glowing, then inspects the pavement for dropped biscuits. The blue sign buzzes. Pixky does not. At 2:13 a.m., he approves one delivery van, rejects a rolling bin, and watches the automatic door open for nobody. Dawn is his clock-out bell. The crooked X stays crooked by policy.
Keep the X buzzing.
